November 20, 2006. It was chilly and snowy in Murmansk. Court was a tad bit stressful as we were interviewed for 2 hours.

But finally, the judge, with a smile on her face, proclaimed us parents (forever) to Maks-Joseph! It was such an amazing feeling and a huge relief. She also waived our ten days so we were on track to head home and have our family of four together!
We are forever grateful to Maks' birthfamily who made that difficult decision to say good-bye. We are grateful to Russia for giving us the priviledge to be Maks' parents and guide him through life.
We are grateful to all our family and friends, for without them, we would not have these two beautiful and amazing boys!!

Maks has come such a long way in 4 years and he truly amazes us. He is a really cool kid who marches to the beat of his own drum. He is unique and we love it, when he is not driving us insane!

So, Happy 4th Family Day Maks!! We love you and we are proud and honored that you get to call us mommy and daddy!

November 20th is also National Adoption Day. Adoption is amazing option and there are so many kiddos waiting for their forever families.
