Ok, guys mommy has been a slacker with this--I can't believe I haven't written since after Christmas! Anyway, here is your winter round-up boys.
First off it hasn't been the kind of winter you guys want, with snow to sled and play in. Just cold, dreary and lots of near misses with snow.
Alek you had a big school project of your life timeline. We had fun picking out pictures together and you did a great job!!
New Years eve was small gathering of neighbors at our house. It was fun, it wasn't the same as hanging with the Fillmore's, but still a good time. Alek you were into the music and the countdown's big time.
I love how you and daddy were dancing! I wish I took more pics that night, because we all had fun dancing with the all the kids. I loved dancing with my boys! Chief had fun as his buddy Cooper came to hang out.
Next up, C and I decided to do something together with you guys when we all had off from school. So we went to have a farm experience at a real mennonite farm in Lancaster. It wound up being brutally cold but we toughed it out!
On the way we ate at an all you can eat smorgasbord. You guys loved it-you loved being able to serve yourself. Alek you did great trying fruits, veggies, and the meats. Maks, you are my son, you were all over the carbs, extra mac and cheese please!
The farm was old school, nothing high tech. You all loved it. Mommy hung in there, given that it was freezing and I hate farm smell! But I learned alot about cows.
You guys had fun meeting all the different cows, especially Phyllis, she was the leader of the gang!
The goats were a big hit, you loved feeding them.
Maks you got hit in the butt by one, which was comical!
The funniest thing of the day was when they let you in the chicken coop to see if you could catch one. Alek you were seriously the champ at this, you had it down! The farmer's wife was ready to hire you!
Maks you were a little unsure and missed a couple times, but you finally got the rooster!
You all got to collect the eggs which was really cool.
Next up was cow milking. She taught you all old school style, which to me was a little gross, but you were all over it.
It was pretty cool, but sure was stinky!
This is what mommy loved. You got to feed the baby cows. It was so cute watching them go to town and you guys holding onto that bottle.
It was a fun experience for sure, glad we did it, though it took about an hour into our drive to thaw out!
Alek, your basketball for PV ended in the semifinals. Your team really did great, you played hard, and made it all the way to the semis. It was great watching your improvement.
Maks-you were supposed to play dodgeball but it got cancelled so you had a little sports break. But we had you signed up and ready for flag football!
Winter also brought Chief's first bath. He totally was NOT into it, but how stinkin cute is he?
He was much happier being wrapped up and toasty warm with daddy!
Overall it was an uneventful January. You guys continue to do well in school which makes us really proud!!
