That time of year again for fall foliage and festival fun. As usual we are frequent visitors to Merrymead.
I planned to try a different farm this year, but hey when one is around the corner you can't beat that drive. The boys and I went over for the first time while Kevin was away on his Penn State football weekend. So we enjoyed our mom and boy time. They didn't want to do the hayride which surprised me, but it was hot out and I was happy not to have to pick hay off of me for hours.
So we did all the games, the small maze and the inflatables. They got their faces painted. We had yummy popcorn and apple cider and the awesome cider donuts. The crowd was too big to buy our pumpkins there, so we headed over to Freddy Hill and stocked up on pumpkins and mums.
It was a fun weekend, just the boys and me. Alek had baseball games as usual and he was so excited that LaLa, Krissy, Tayler and Jake came to watch, it was quite a surprise for him to have that big cheering section. He told me afterwards he was a little nervous because he wanted to show them how good he was :o)
We spent the rest of the weekend making the house look more festive for fall, watching movies and having Alek read to us. I let them sleep in my room with me and they were so happy to camp out and snug.

I got to go down the beach for a quick girls weekend. I had a blast hanging out with B and A and squishing with A's handsome little man, 9 months old. Boy I miss that drooly, crawling everywhere stage. It was so much fun--well not enough for me to want another one, but it was a nice baby fix. It was fun to walk on the beach and hit the outlets without children begging and asking for treats and toys for themselves. Good food, good wine, great weekend!

Jake came to stay with us over the weekend and Alek and Maks were thrilled. Jake is still a rock star in their eyes. Jake came to Alek's game and rode scooters throughout the park with Maks. Maks was so happy not to be stuck watching the game. After that we headed back to Merrymead for the 5 acre maze! We did pretty good, though I think we missed the top right section of it completely-but we found our way out. Then we had some awesome treats, popcorn, caramel apple treat. Sooo good!! Then we headed over to a park to play a little while longer. The boys had such fun and were sad to see Jake go the next morning.
The fall fun continues the end of this week with Maks' birthday party. We are gearing up for the Halloween/Star Wars bash!
