And so it begins

The most wonderful and crazy time of the year!
Thanksgiving was very nice, we had a relaxing and quiet day and enjoyed our dinner. Maks entertained us through the meal as usual!

It was wonderful to have an extra long weekend. The boys helped me get the Christmas decorations going and I had the inside of the house done by Saturday.
Saturday we had a group of friends and their kiddos over and as always it was a blast.
Good food, good drinks, good friends.

The boys got working on their letters to Santa. Their lists are alot smaller this year, which is very nice!! The big wishes: bikes, new scooters and pogo sticks.

Sunday we all headed downtown to take in the light show at Macy's and see the Dicken's Village.
The kids really liked the Dicken's village and the lights.
Afterwards we had a fun lunch downtown. It was a great day and I am really glad we took the time to go down.

I can't believe we are staring down the door of Christmas already. This fall has flown by, but sadly I know it will be a loooonnnnggg winter. I get a bit sad this time of year, feeling like it will be forever until my feet are back in the sand and the sun is on my face.

Hopefully we will not be slammed with snow this year. Last year was enough to last me a lifetime.

School continues to go well. Maks is making great strides in his writing and number recognition. He amazes me as he reads speed limit signs.
Alek's report card is coming up. He continues to do well and really enjoys school. His favorite subject right now is art.
Maks is getting ready for his Christmas show at school, he is really into singing and loves to perform. At least now we have moved onto some holiday songs instead of hearing My Country Tis of Thee 20 times a day!
The excitement for Santa's arrival is building. Our outside lights are up and the street is looking festive, the boys love it.
Next up, our journey to the find the perfect tree!
