Thankfulness and gratitude

"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family." When I look at ugliness, I see beauty. When I am far from home, I see old friends. When there is noise, I hear a robin's song instead. When I am in a crowd, it is the mountain's peace I feel. In the winter of my sorrow, I remember the summer of my joy. In the nighttime of my loneliness, I breathe the day of my thanksgiving. But when the sadness spreads its blanket and that is what I see, I take my eyes to some high place until I find a reflection of what lies deep inside of me.-Navajo saying

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.

"You dont really understand human nature, unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around and why his parents will always wave back"

I am thankful and I am grateful.
I am thankful for all those who made these beautiful pictures in my life possible.
For God, who did not give me the path I asked for, and did not make it easy, but sent me on a journey for which I am forever grateful.
For my husband who is my partner in chaos and an amazing father as I always thought he would be. (Who else would push a girl he was just getting to know, in wheelchair up Green Lane in Manayunk in 100 degree heat?)
For our families, who supported us through thick and thin, who truly helped made our dream of family possible, because these boys would never be here without their emotional and financial support.
For our lifelong friends, who are always there to lend a hand and provide comic relief.
I am thankful for all the new friends I have met through adoption, how strange yet amazing to share this very personal and amazing experience with complete strangers who grow into friends!
I am grateful for all of those so important in my boys lives and who are helping to shape the little men they are growing in to.
You all know who you are!
I am thankful for our health and the ability to provide for my family.
I am thankful and grateful that my boys do not know hunger or poverty and I pray that we can make even a small difference in the lives of those that do.
I pray every day, that those 147 million orphans worldwide, will one day know the love of a forever family.
I will never forget how extremely blessed we are.
I want to live without any regrets.
I know how short life can be.
I am happy, I am loved and I love, I am thankful and I am grateful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
