Wow, it has been awhile since Mommy got on here and updated your busy lives!! It has been a whirlwind spring between school and baseball.
So here goes the quick play by play.
April was Easter, we had a nice quiet dinner at Granny's with JoJo. You both did your egg hunt which you always look forward to. It was a nice day and of course you both looked so handsome in your colorful shirts!
Maks, you had a great season with the Indians. Your play definitely improved. You make us laugh because you just talk so much during the games. You talk while at bat, you talk while running to the base, you talk in the outfield-pretty much to anyone who will listen. You definitely gave your coaches a run for their money!
You did a great job as catcher though, you could catch and block alot of the balls. Plus you loved talking to the batters and the coaches.
Memorial Day weekend, we hit the beach with the Fillmores for Chief's first beach visit. It was cold!! We had to bundle up on Saturday to block the wind. Chief had a love/hate relationship with the horseshoe crabs, especially this dead one which he kept barking up. It was hysterical and we were all laughing.
Alek, you and Keke loved looking for shells and stones together, plus we found a ton of beach glass that weekend!
We think Chief will be a beach bum!
Sunday got warmer and you were able to be on beach in shorts, the water was a bit chilly though!
Of course it wouldn't be Memorial Day without the parade and party at JoJo's. Of course it was HOT! Where was this weather for the beach?
This was also Chief's first parade, he did good!
Patriotic boys!
So next up, we headed up to Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs for the annual NorGwyn Baseball day at the ball park. Not only did you get to parade on the field with your teams, you were chosen to be on the field with the players for the National Anthem!
Alek, we can't see you but you are there in the outfield!
Maky-You were at HomePlate and you did great standing still and holding your hat to your heart!
We had a great time at the game, I think our section was a blast, you enjoyed the game with all your friends!
Maks--you had an author's tea at school. Your class put on a performace and we got to listen to you read alot of your kid writing to us and ended it with yummy cake and lemonade. We are so proud of you, your writing and reading has come so far since the start of the school year!!
Alek--you were selected for the minor league all star game! You were on the american league team. Even though you lost, your team battled hard and it was fun night!
It was great watching you play under the lights! Big Mike came for the night and LaLa and Jakey were there to see the all star that you are!
Maky you were getting in the action after the game!
Maky, here we all are at the end of your author's tea.
Daddy has been hard at work putting up the new siding, he has done such a great job! Next time you will see the after pics!
Alek you are also playing on the Hawks tournament team. You have been playing in a Sunday league, you guys are improving alot even though you only won one game. But you guys keep practicing and getting ready for tournaments.
You had your first tournament in Harleysville. You guys lost a heartbreaker friday night to Whitpain and then dropped the next two games to the tough teams of TYA and Harleysville. But Alek you played soo well! Your pitching was outstanding and your play at 3rd base and in the field was great.
Look at that awesome pitcher!
You got hit by a pitch hard in the back but your next at bat you dug back in and smacked a double over the centerfielders head! We were so excited that you were not afraid to jump back in.
Here you guys are with Granny, Maks you are your goofy smile!
My handsome guys!
Here you guys are with JoJo, looking so cute!!
Snugging with my boys at Easter!
Maky you are all star!!
Look at this superstar catcher!
Alek here you are ready to steal for the Rivercats!
It has been a great spring. We have had a lot of fun. Our second home has been the ball field!
School came to a close and you guys both did great on your report cards, we are so proud of you both!!
We can't believe we now have a 4th and 2nd grader--the time is flying so fast.
This summer you will be staying home and hanging with a Jessie, going to the pool, the parks and just relaxing and playing. I hope you guys will have so much fun. Alek you are scheduled for two baseball camps and Maks you are scheduled for a cartoon drawing camp.
It should be a great summer even though every weekend seems to include a baseball tournament!
