Boys of Spring

 Batter up, lets play ball!

 Baseball season is in full swing!! The Reds are playing hard and their game is coming together!

 Kevin and Dennis are doing great as coaches, although definitely a bit harder on their guys, so that has been comical to watch.

 Maks keeps the games entertaining, whether he is digging in the dirt, bent over looking between his legs at the guys in the outfield, chatting up the other coaches and players, or falling off first base, you never know what is in store with this guy.  All that aside, his game has improved so much, especially his hitting, he is ripping some balls!

 Alek got off to a slow start at the plate but has picked it up several notches.  His awareness of the game is amazing, he knows exactly what should be happening, what play to make. It is pretty cool to see.  He takes it seriously too, he is very focused on the field and baseball ready. 

 We had a very exciting game last week.  Alek turned a triple play! He caught a line drive, tug out the kid running from 1st to 2nd and then ran and got the kid out who left from 2nd headed to third.  It was awesome!! He was so excited and so proud of himself!

 Then the next inning, Maks playing 1st base, turned a double play! He caught a pop up and then got the runner out.  So how about that, 2 brothers with a triple play and double play in the same game!  Superstars!!

 We have quite a few younger less experiences kiddos on our team, but the strides they have all made the past weeks has been amazing. It is fun to watch them putting it together and watching everyone's hitting and catching improving.

 It must be the coaching!!

Next up is skills day and the homerun derby, can't wait to see them all showing off their stuff!
