I was adding my usual notes to the boys scrapbooks, I try to do an every 3 month (what you have done, said, etc..) for each them. It is fun for me looking back and remembering when they hit certain milestones, or said new words and even the funny things they have done or said.
So I decided to page through both books and my journals that are in them.
June 6th, 2003 (6 years ago)our last IVF had failed (which in truth and according to my journal entry, I was relieved). I was so done with the medical stuff, my mind and soul had already moved forward to building our family through adoption.
My entry for June 11, 2004 (5 yrs ago!) was that Tif and her mom were in town and we were having a great visit exploring the city. We were on a trolley tour (which cell phones were not supposed to be used) when mine rang. Our house had just sold for over asking price. We had been stressed, because we had found our new house, but still had to sell ours, we were waiting for a referral after having to switch agencies. At any moment, I kept waiting for the bottom to fall out! SO I was so excited. Tif's mom also had said to me that she felt our referral was very soon, she "felt it in her bones". Well, her bones didn't lie, because 3 days later on 6/14 we got the call we had waited a lifetime for, Alek's referral. It was great reading all those emotions I had that week. I love re-living those feelings.
SO next up was Maks' book. On June 9, 2006 we had finished our dossier and had finally got our I600A that week after our homestudy had been misplaced at the USCIS for several weeks! It was relief after a month of stress over that!
This week in June obviously held some milestones for us in our family building journey. Fun to read and hopefully one day the boys will enjoy reading some of it along with all the millions of pictures I take of them :o)

how lucky for us that we get to spend tomorrow with you -- 5 years after you learned about Alek, we get the fun of introducing our Russian princes to each other!! :) the boys are lucky you are so on top of their journals, Kris!!
Kris:
What inspiration for me to keep going on the scrapbooks. I have two started for my little one and three full boxes of items to put in them (stickers and such) as I thought it would be good therapy.
I think it is so wonderful you have kept up with the books. Your two sons are so cool! Love the T-ball pics.
