Spring is around the corner

Spring is in the air here!! It has been so nice to be outside playing and feeling the sun, really helps to shake off those winter blahs! Alek has been testing out his new bike and he likes playing soccer and baseball with daddy. Maks loves trying to steal the bat and ball and exploring all around our yard.

The boys had a blast last weekend at Ryan's first birthday princess party. Alek loved wearing the tiara although daddy was none too happy with that. Maks had a blast playing outside and of course eating, he wore himself out he almost fell asleep in his food.

It's funny to me, how many times I sit back and watch the boys playing, especially at a party or other children's events and I get teary-eyed. I think back to all those years when I wondered if I would ever get to experience those moments and that pure joy of watching your children run around laughing and giggling. It still amazes me and sometimes I feel like I have to pinch myself just to make sure this is all real and not a dream. We are definitely so lucky and so blessed.

On another front, Alek had his 3yr old well visit last night. He is doing great. He is actually 50% in weight (which is baffling to me, since most of the time his pants are falling down), but he was 32.3 pounds and 39 inches (90%). So he remains long and lean. The doctor says he looks great and we don’t need to come back for another year! Love these visits without shots!!

Kevin and I also were able to enjoy a date night last week at the Flower Show. It was fun, the Irish theme was fun and it was great to be able to walk around the show while enjoying a cocktail!

Spring fun
