Maks had surgery today, circumcision and to repair a couple things down there in manland! He did great pre-op, was worried about any reactions to medical staff, but so many fun toys there, he did not notice. He looked so cute in his hospital gown, although even for kids, they dont make gowns to cover your butt! They gave him his giggle juice (Tylenol with versed) (they really should give this to the moms too!!). It was funny watching him progress to a "stoned" state. We couldn't help but laugh. It is definitely hard to let go and let him go into the OR. 45 minutes later the surgeon came out and said all was well. The anesthesiologist told us he did great although did have alot of extra secretions, probably related to his asthma and such. He did drop his sats several times when he was sleeping. He was definitely zonked!! So we were there an hour longer than usual watching his sats. He did come home and eat (he was so happy to be eating again) and then he took a long nap (still is down).
So Maks is definitely our little trooper today. Alek came home and wanted to check on Maks, so he laid next to him and gave him a gentle kiss, it was just too sweet!!!
