Hello from Moscow! We made it and LOVE being at the Marriott, it makes us feel closer to home and we totally ordered up some "american" snacks when we got here, wings, chicken nuggest (for Maks), fries and popcorn!! It really hit the spot!
Maks did well on the plane, for all the changes in the last 24 hours he is a trooper. We had our medical clinic appt. He does have ear infections in both ears as I suspected, so we started him on the amoxicillin. The doctor hear kind of doubted the whole "asthma" thing, he said he looked good otherwise. We had to have his bloodwork taken for another test required by the Embassy due to his medical history, well it is VERY interesting and horrible how they draw blood here--it broke my heart to put him thru that!! As a nurse I wanted to yell, don't you people know the right way!!!! But all I could do was sit there and help hold his arm down. But he lets us comfort him and he stopped crying pretty quickly once back in my arms. he really is doing great, he has quite the spunky personality. He loves to snug and is making really good eye contact with me as well. He fought the bottle the first day, but today took right to it. The kid is an amazing eater and he has the belly to prove it!
The Marriott Tverskaya is having turkey, cranberry, brussel sprouts (yuc) and mashed potatos as a special tonight, I think we will give it a try!
Tomorrow morning we are going to Red Square with our little group and then off to our Embassy appts. Two more nights away, we cannot wait to get home!!!
Thanks for everyone's emails and posts to the blog!! It is so nice to feel so close to everyone when we are so far away.
We cannot wait until Saturday, we miss Alek so much and can't wait to hold him with his new brother!!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!! We have so much to be thankful for this year!!

Happy Thanksgiving! The blood draw was brutal for our kids too. They wouldn't even let us accompany them to the room where they did the blood draw. The coordinator and nurse just took the kids away from us and brought them back 15 minutes later, trembling and traumatized. It was awful. I'm glad you were able to be there with Maks and offer some comfort.
Have a great time signtseeing in Moscow!
