We heard today that Maks is still in the hospital but he is doing better. His health state was now considered "satisfactory". He had an "acute upper respiratory infection" and will finish out his treatment and head back to the baby home. We were told not to worry that he is ok (easier said than done), but I feel a whole lot better having an update.
Hopefully we can get some more detail as to exact diagnosis and what he was treated with.
I just want to know for sure for trip 2 to make sure I bring appropriate medication.
Back to work today. I feel so much better than yesterday, the jet lag killed me. It is nice to feel normal again!!

Kris, I read all the updates on your blog and I hope the rest of the process will go very smooth so you can get started on everyday life with both of your little boys. I am so excited to hear every update you have in store for us. Hang in there and I hope things improve at a rapid rate regarding little Maks health and also the entire adoption! Glad to hear that you got some good news and that Maks is doing better. Whew! I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you guys.
I just can't imagine how hard it has been for you to be away from him while he is sick. I hope that you get the news of your second trip really soon

Glad to hear you got an update on Maks - Who would think you would actually want him back in the orphanage (if he couldn't be with you guys). Hopefully he will be discharged soon and will be all healthy for his trip home!
