Easter fun

Well we kind of made it through Easter. Maks started out that Thursday with a fever and runny nose, but by Friday he was fine. Alek came home from school on Friday with a fever and threw up (although I think that was from everything he ate at his Easter party), he was run down and slept most of Saturday, but was fine Saturday night, so we seemed fine and put our Easter best on and went to Grammom and Poppy's house for early dinner with Me-Me. The boys had fun, they loved opening their baskets, Alek loved the toys, Maks was digging for food. They spent some nice time with Me-Me (great-grandmom), but right after dinner, I started feeling bad.
We made a stop at Granny and Pop-Pop's on the way home to see everyone there before they ate, by that time though, I knew I was getting sick.
Monday I made it until around 11 at work, came home got in bed and then school called, Alek had a fever. So we both were sick, ended up with sinus infections and some sort of virus. We were home until Thursday. Thankfully we are all better, though I am amazed at how long this congestion has hung around.

So now we focus our attention on Kevin and his 40th birtday party on Saturday. Can't belive he is 40!! It should be a fun party, we are looking forward to it.
Sunday morning won't be too fun for me as I drive to pick the boys up and then head to Alek's soccer game!

Maks had check-up and evaluation today. He is still a bit behind in speech and cognition, gross motor is only a little behind. We are watching the fact he walks with his feet turned out and will see what needs to be done.
He was 31 inches and 26 pounds. So he is slowly growing!! I definitely see him slimming a big in the belly because he is getting longer.

We have our 6 month post placement report next weekend! Can't believe it--it really feels like he has been here forever!
