Slowly adjusting

Well everything has gone pretty well since coming home, that is except for sleep. Maks fights it like there is no tomorrow. He fights naps, bedtime, anything sleep related. Otherwise he is happy and content. He is eating well, loves playing and exploring his new environment, as long as mommy or daddy is within sight. He is happy with the dogs now, especially Kaiser and his kisses. He is fascinated by his silly big brother and Alek is so great with him. He is really patient, has been sharing well and loves to help.
I know the sleep stuff will get alot better. It is just hard watching him completely freak out no matter what you try to do, rock him, lay down with him, lay him down and pat his back. But last night was much better, he went down really easily at 9pm, did wake up several times, but easily went back to sleep. Our rough patch didn't hit until 4am, and it took about 45 minutes to get him back to sleep. At 5:30am he woke back up and this time he let me sleep in bed with him in the guest room, so we both fell back to sleep until 7:30! Kevin and Alek were still snoozing until after 8am.
It felt great to get some sleep. We will see what today brings in terms of napping!
