We made it and we are in Murmansk! The flights over were good and smooth. Made our connections, met up with our driver easily. The ride to the hotel across Moscow was terrible, 2 1/2 hours, the airport hotel was bare bones. We had a quick dinner with the other family traveling with us and then went to sleep. We talked to Alek and he sounds like he is having a blast--we miss him so much!!
The flight to Murmansk was fine, noisy plane, a bit of a bumpy landing, but safe. For a protestant girl, I had my St. Joseph's medal from Tifany and the St. Teresa of the Rose card from Kate and believe me I was praying!!
The weather isnt as cold as I thought, high 30's, not much different than Philly winter. No snow yet.
The hotel here is very nice. We had a great dinner last night and drinks with the other family. I didn't sleep too well last night, anxious I guess. We are being picked up shortly to head to the MOE to get our official permission to visit Maks. Then it is off the orphanage!! We can't wait, such a long haul it has been.
Today is his birthday, we can't wait to see him and hold him. The family traveling with us gave him a teddy bear from Germany which is so cute!!
Well more later, can't wait to tell everyone about this little guy!!
We miss you all and thanks for all your prayers and support!!
Love,
Kris and Kevin
