We were met in the lobby to begin our afternoon and we told that Maks was taken to the hospital for most likely the flu. It really caught me off guard and I was trying to hold it together, but then started crying. I know it is common for them to be hospitalized quicker and for lesser things than we would, but it is hard knowing your child is in a hospital and there is nothing you can do. They reassured us it was common and he was in good hands and that they would try to get as many updates as they could for us before we leave tomorrow. This is really hard. I did assess him while we were playing this morning, his lungs seemed clear, his breathing was not labored, he was not coughing, just clear runny nose and low grade temp. They said he had been spiking a temp after his nap. So please keep Maks in your prayers and hopefully we will hear something good soon!!!
So we were brought back to the hotel. We are both bumming, but Kevin reminded me that the trip and visits with Alek didn't go too smoothly either and we ended up only being allowed to visit with him once on the first trip and things all worked out fine as well.
So, it is off to begin our two days of travel home tomorrow. I am nervous again about the flight to Moscow, but it would not be me if I wasn't stressing about that!!
At this point we just want to get home, get updates on Maks, see Alek and get back here for court! We were told to expect around 40 days in between trips, possibly shorter. It snowed lightly here today but we were told to expect a bunch of snow on our return.
That is it for now, hopefully we will have some good news on the next post!
