Waiting to meet Maks

A Moonbeam

Take a glimpse into the sky
And if a moonbeam hits your eye
Follow it back to whence it came
And dream of a child who'll bear your name.
A little one may look right back
And follow a beam along it's track
And see a mother awaiting the day
In who’s arms forever to stay.
(Tom Fisher-2005)

Yes, we have decided on a first name and that is Maks (pronounced Max). It is essentially the Russian spelling of the name. Maks is short for Maksimillian (which we won't be using), but the name means "competitor" and Aleksandr means "conqueror". So we thought that was pretty cool! We will have a little conqueror and competitor--should be an interesting combination!
We are just trying to figure out the middle name now.

Still looking like end of September to head out, but we hope and pray for some earlier dates. In the meantime Alek and I will be flying up to New Hampshire for a visit with Pop and Noni, Uncle Joe, Aunt Niki and Joseph. We are looking foward to the quick get-away--and hoping that Alek flies well this time. It is only an hour and 20 mintue flight, thankfully!

Here are a few new pics to pass the time:
